Gateway was a marketing driven company, so it extended its spotted influence to almost anything that could promote the company.
You could order official Gateway merchandise through the “Spot Shop”, this was driven by customers who kept asking for additional mouse mats and mugs! If you were driving along highway 29 you could take a break close to the Gateway plant in Sioux City where a Factory Store sold refurbished PCs and, yes, Cow Spotted T-Shirts, mugs, hats, pens etc etc… It was a very busy store!
Internally, other spotted items were produced for incentives, holidays and parties, and Gateway OEM’s contributed to some funky spotted promotions!
